Not directly related to pen and paper gaming, but the The Vault, at fallout.wikia.com, is a wiki for all things Fallout related. _________________ Jason Irrgang, blurring your reality since 2008.

Try Deadlands... or possibly Rifts.
Actually, one of the more unique post apocalypse games I played in was Gorkamorka. It was an Ork themed miniature game from ages ago. Basically, you have Orks throwing down over a theological arguement (which Ork god their rebuilt ship looked like) after the orks crashed on the planet. Lots of looting, crappy looking post-apoc vehicles, and a really unique enjoyable theme.

Another post-apocalyptic game worth mentioning is OctaNe. It's got a rather unique feel to it; a mish-mash of Mad Max, Six String Samurai, Spaghetti Westerns, El Santo, Japanese monster films...to quote from the book:
| Quote: | Picture if you will, the Old West.
Rugged cowpokes, black-mustachioed banditos, plucky frontier gals, and cheroot-chawin' gunslingers. Wild mustangs, high desert plains, and dust clouds on the horizon.
Now jump forward a hundred years and add rock-n-roll music, classic cars, and the neon-lined streets of Sin City. Still not enough? Add 1980's heavy metal, cult science fiction films and B-movies, Mexican wrestlers, and post-apocalyptic fashions. Take every pulp cliche, bend it 90 degrees and set it to a blistering soundtrack.
That's OctaNe, baby. |
The system is pretty easy to learn, it leans more towards the PDQ side of the scale. Check it out:

Download, read and use!
Nice salvaging rules in abandoned places: water, food, ammo etc. |

Zombie Run. Available from PEG. Not a free download, but if you run the whole thing, well worth the investment. Plus, it has the search and salvage rules.
Remeber, zombies = environmental hazard, not mooks. |
