|
|
Savage Mojo is pleased to announce DUNGEONLANDS, our upcoming killer dungeon set in the First Age of Relic, our fantasy realm, where your heroes will answer a call through time and space to rescue an angel imprisoned by the Lich-Queen.
Her Tomb is littered with the bones of all the heroes that came before. Her Machine spews forth endless hordes of chaos. Her Palace will hold your finest hour...or your crushing defeat.
The first Savage Mojo produced for both Pathfinder and Savage Worlds, DUNGEONLANDS combines the epic adventure you've come to love from Savage Suzerain with classic, old school dungeons that have shaped the foundations of fantasy gaming.
• Savage Mojo will host a 24 hour online Design Party beginning at 9pm Eastern Time on Friday, September 14th and running to 9pm Eastern Time on Saturday the 15th. Utilizing a combination of livestream, online chats, whiteboards, blog posts and social media, the Savage Mojo Design Team will publicly create a new supplement for DUNGEONLANDS live and on the internet!
• DUNGEONLANDS will be the focus of the very first Savage Mojo Kickstarter, as we move to bring this ambitious project to print. Being far more than a single book, DUNGEONLANDS is our most ambitious product to date, with map tiles by Alida Saxon, random dungeon tiles and card decks for random exploration encounters!
• During the 24 Hour Design Party, Savage Mojo will be holding open auditions for the role of our Pathfinder rules guru! Love Pathfinder? Want to be a part of the most ambitious Savage Mojo project to date? Show us what you’ve got during the 24 Hour Design Party! Check out our Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/SavageMojo), Twitter (@SavageMojo) and Google+ for more information!
• Each version (Pathfinder and Savage Worlds) will be designed to give you the best old school killer dungeon experience for each system![/img] _________________ Tommy Brownell

| Can the thread title be changed to include the 24-hour design party? That seems like a pretty big event to just hide away in a block of text. |

Savage Mojo's Old School Killer Dungeon which will be released in both Savage Worlds and Pathfinder versions.
There's an award-winning development team behind our Dungeonlands line, including writers John Wick (Legend of the Five Rings, 7th Sea, Houses of the Blooded http://johnwickpresents.com/) and Lee Szczepanik, Jr (War of the Dead http://www.daringentertain.com/); artists Jason Engle (http://jaestudio.com/), Jim Pavelec (http://jimpavelec.com/), Aaron Acevedo (http://aaronace.com/), Alida Saxon (http://alidasaxon.com/); and Savage Mojo (http://savagemojo.com/), ENnie and Origins Award winning publishers of Suzerain roleplaying games, Gamescapes roleplaying game accessories, and Brainradio fiction.
We're raising funds to create two books (one for Pathfinder rules and another for Savage Worlds) and a wide variety of accessories too: character cards, monster cards, a full soundtrack, tile maps for the entire dungeon, and more! We have a lot of great pledge rewards, including commissions from Jason Engle, custom tile map sets personalized for your game, or even illustrated fiction based on your character! Look for more on these and other rewards in the coming updates.
Funding Goal: $5,000
Deadline: October 14th. _________________ Tommy Brownell |

Having worked on some of the manuscript for both the Pathfinder and Savage Worlds versions, and on some mechanic designs for the Savage Worlds version, this thing is going to be a blast to play!
Even if you can't pledge . . . help spread the world! _________________ Lee F. Szczepanik, Jr.

I just finished interviewing Aaron Acevedo and Martin Klimes of Savage Mojo via G+ Hangout, and it's now posted on YouTube. It's 13 hours into the 24-Hour Design Party, and it's pretty entertaining and informative. _________________ Sean Patrick Fannon

We've had a great run since the Kickstarter started, and we are less than $1,000 away from our goal...so it's time to reveal our stretch goals, to see how you can help us bring the Machine of the Lich Queen and Palace of the Lich Queen to life, as well as create the ULTIMATE Dungeonlands boxed set!
Additionally, we have ordering information available for people who want both the Savage Worlds and Pathfinder versions, among other ordering options.

Are you tailoring the adventures for SW, or is it simply re-statted monsters?
Having done straight conversions of 3.5E adventures to Savage, I found the game became very grindy and bland, and lost the fast, fun and creative flow of Savage Worlds.
At the time, I simply chose equivalent monsters and adjusted their numbers for an appropriate encounter, but in hindsight I should have completely rewritten portions of the adventures, change some encounters to be more of an 'event' than a combat, and combined rooms together to become set-piece encounters. |

We're doing everything we can to provide the best dungeon crawl experience possible for each system. Savage Mojo is a group of Savages first and foremost (heck, it's right there in the name!). _________________ Tommy Brownell |

Thanks for your support folks! Fully funded and going strong. We've now updated the main kickstarter page with stretch goals. I'm a happy Savage. _________________ Aaron Acevedo

We are about $200 away from our first stretch goal, which is a nice little bonus for our hard working freelancers. After that, the dash is on to the $10,000 mark and the Machine of the Lich Queen book, which is a whole separate dungeon crawl spinning out of the finale of Tomb of the Lich Queen! _________________ Tommy Brownell |

In addition, we have surpassed our first stretch goal and are now less than $2,000 away from our second stretch goal, which is the second adventure in the Dungeonlands series: Machine of the Lich Queen! _________________ Tommy Brownell |

We added a new one shot pledge level!
Muse: Special Reward! The composer of our Dungeonlands soundtrack, the hugely talented but ever-generous Alex Cottrell, has offered to let one lucky backer of our Kickstarter have creative control over a track from the Dungeonlands album. As a result, if you're the first person to pledge over $250 in the final two weeks, or the first person to increase your pledge level to more than $250, you will get the following special reward - you get to choose a suitably heroic name for the track (we reserve the right to veto anything that might cause offence or isn't in the spirit of Dungeonlands), can choose the type of theme for the track (action, mystery, tense horror, etc), and will be sent work-in-progress during the tracks' development from which you can have input at each stage. This offer includes everything a Champion gets as well!
We also added two more of Alex's tracks from the album to the home page. Enjoy! _________________ Tommy Brownell |

We just added a couple of exciting stretch goals to our tracker map, one at $12,000 and another at $14,000. When we hit each goal, we'll add the following as side orders for +$10:
$12k: Alternate opening for Wicked Fantasy from John Wick Presents - includes four pre-generated level 15 Pathfinder characters, an introductory adventure set in the Wicked Fantasy setting, and a new 24x32 inch poster map.
http://johnwickpresents.com/wicked-fantasy/
$14k: Alternate opening for Totems of the Dead from Gun Metal Games - includes four pre-generated Heroic rank Savage Worlds characters, an introductory adventure set in the Totems of the Dead setting, and a new 24x32 inch poster map.
http://www.gunmetalgames.com/games/totems-of-the-dead/
What's that side path at $16,000 you ask? I'll give you a hint, it's a contribution by a wordslinger with the initials M. F., more details soon. _________________ Tommy Brownell |
