What, no post about this year's MACE yet?
(Or is that the sound of snake eyes on my notice roll?)

MACE 2012
November 02 - 04, 2012

Hilton Charlotte University Place

MACE at JustUs

Don't forget that it's moved to the Hilton, the same venue as ConCarolinas, in Charlotte.

I'm afraid I won't be making it this year. The move to Charlotte was already something of a negative, as High Point was at the edge of how far I'm willing to drive (I live in Virginia). But even if that wasn't the case, finances are a bit too tight to justify the trip. Kind of a shame, as I genuinely enjoyed my previous visits to MACE.

I currently plan to be there, but some of my plans are subject to the whims of others for now. We'll see how that plan holds out.

I will be donating five sets of ACE! dice to the MACE charity auction. It is a seven-die set of d6's, with six of the dice being ACE! dice of the colors I've used in the past. The seventh is a standard d6 w/a pretty teal/white swirl.

I'll be there!

(Of course, it's happening only about a stone's throw from my apartment this year, so that helps...)

I'll be running a new scenario in my home-brewed Mythic Rome setting on Saturday night and Fiasco on Saturday and Sunday morning. Smile

You all are in for it now!

Or at least some random passers-by.

I'm scheduled to run three games:

Quote:

A Rescue In Time
Legendary Warriors. Time Travel. Rich School Girls. What could possibly go wrong?

It is the year 4,675. Humanity has spread to the stars, warred in the cosmos, fallen to barbarism and rose again, lost Earth and found it again.
Little more than a radioactive wasteland, Earth is under the jurisdiction of the Imperial Department of Science and Education. Earth was little more than a curiosity and archaeological site until naturally occurring temporal wormholes were discovered a century ago. An aspect of the wormholes, termed Temporal Phasing, made it possible to travel to various periods of the past in safety... the phased participants could witness events but not interfere in any way. The Time Ways have been opened to both science and the public for over 50 years without a single incident.

Until now.

The characters are retired veterans of various military branches. They have a few things in common: They are all legends in their own right. They all owe favors to various extremely influential persons. And they've all had their service reactivated by Imperial decree. A group of school girls... daughters of the richest and most well-connected people in the Empire, ranging from Senators to trillionairs, have gone missing in Time.

It's up to a group of grizzled veterans to travel the paths, find the girls, and bring them back.

"A Rescue in Time" uses the Savage Worlds Deluxe rules with Legendary rank characters.

Quote:

Pirates of the Flowstone
The Flowstone: A place between fragments of worlds, where Rocks (inhabited, deserted, or just plain weird) swirl and twirl in an eternal dance amidst stormy clouds and stabbing spears of light from ghostly suns. Trade moves from world-fragment to fragment, Rock to Rock in dust-filled dirigibles. Where there is trade, there is opportunity.

And pirates!

Stop the pirates and find out what has stirred them up (more than usual)... Nothing out of the ordinary for the best Traveler's Insurance Conglomerate mercenaries in the Flowstone, eh?

Genre: Pirates of the Flowstone takes Steampunk, High Fantasy, and pulpy Sci-fi genres and mixes them liberally together in a setting of high adventure.
Game System: Savage Worlds Deluxe and Super Powers Companion

Quote:

Give the Kobolds a Chance
The Heroes have saved the giant frogs of Frogmorton, the Hair of Tarn's Crossing, and now hear the plea for help from a lowly Kobold. Even Kobolds deserve some heroes!

Kobolds. Humans. Goblins. And Dwarves. Oh, my!

Give the Kobolds a Chance uses Savage Worlds rules, including rules from the Fantasy Companion.

Should I make the Angry Chicken a recurring character?

Oddly enough, the amount I've prepared for each game is in inverse proportion to the length of their description....

FYI, gang! Not only is Shane coming to MACE this year, but he is going to run two games of Deadlands Noir!

These will be Charity Games where 5 seats at each game are auctioned off to benefit the MACE philanthropies. Game with Shane and help a good cause at the same time!

The Friday game will be in one of the open gaming areas, but the Saturday afternoon game will be in a private gaming room. Choose your preferred poison! Wink

I'm registered! Huzzah!

At the convention!

Ok I'm working out my schedule.

I'll be doing Ponyville Horror on Friday night. It's kinda my signature con game now, so I figured I'd run it again if anyone might be interested. Smile

For SSN, I'll probably be running something for the Savage Worlds version of Kerberos Club. The scenario is still up in the air at the moment, but it's registered.

I'd like to run a game Saturday afternoon as well, but I'm not sure what that one's going to be yet.

Yup! I'm running Kerberos Club, and already have a player signed up. Neat!

Right now I'm working on making figure flats for the game. Very Happy

I can't wait to see everyone at MACE. THERE ARE A TON OF GREAT SAVAGE WORLDS GAMES ON THE SCHEDULE!!! WOW.
I can't believe the awesome selection, and I'm sure more games will be added to the list soon.

I will also be running several games:
Savage Worlds
Agents of Oblivion: Mask of Olokun
Beasts & Barbarians: The Carnival of Nal Sagath
Dragon AGE
Madman at the Bridge
KIDS games
Super Kids
Rory's Story Cubes

I always have a great time at this convention.
See you there!

A preview of Terracide for Savage Worlds has been submitted for Savage Saturday Night.

In Draconis Gulf, a team of living legends are released from a judicial hibernation facility on the fringe of Terran Space for a suicide mission into alien territory to hunt down a psychotic war criminal wanted for collaborating with humanity's most dangerous enemies.

This will be an official preview run by the author of Terracide. (Me!) Mr. Green

Everything but my Friday afternoon game is pretty full... looking forward to the games!

If the crowd that's signed up for Give the Kobolds a Chance all show up (Sun afternoon), it'll be a fantastic game. Smile
