Cool. Backed. Thanks.
The only thing that would make it better is if they had Savage Worlds stats on the cards, but it is a great idea for a product that should have a broad appeal. |

Greetings all! My name is Gary McBride and I own Fire Mountain Games, the company behind creature cards.
Thanks for mentioning us here. If anyone has any questions about the cards, I'd be happy to answer them.
And thanks for your interest.

The problem with that is, if the players use it, it gives away data that the GM may wish to remain secret.

Almost missed this. Hopefully it will reach its goal. I am in desperate need for a fanatsy themed cardset. _________________ Read my Blog about all things Savage: http://www.chaotic-gm.com |

Not for me. I'd love to have a deck (or set) of cards with SW monsters & foes stats on them. I just wouldn't deal them to the players. |

We've hit our target and Creature Cards are funded!
But it's not too late for you to get your own deck. Visit our kickstarter and check out the sample cards and Mike's amazing art.
And to those of you who helped us reach our goal, my heart felt thanks.

Cool!
I also noticed in the last update anyone backing at $16 or more gets a free hi-res PDF of the cards so you could print out pictures of the creatures to show at a game. The $16 level gets two decks of cards which is perfect for switching between decks when the Joker comes up. _________________ Clint Black

Glad this got funded. Gary - do we have to support the KS to get cards, or are we going to be able to order them via e.g. Amazon etc.? Hopefully they'll make it into shops this side of the Atlantic too so that we can avoid the horrendous postal charges. _________________ Visit Tales from Karickbridge on Obsidian Portal, oh and Savage Legend - The Blog |

The decks were supposed to go out in March but that was pushed back until April. Gary was supposed to send out a survey before the decks were shipped but nobody has seen the survey. I backed the KS and the lack of feedback from Gary has been problematic. Other backers have posted similar feelings and email/pm message have not been returned.
I would normally have patience with a KS going quiet for a while but Gary and crew started another KS (Pathfinder RPG) that has had six updates to their new product since Gary last updated the Creature Cards KS. It just rubs me the wrong way when a KS ends and goes "dark" while they begin another project with no lack of selling pitches.
If someone knows Gary and has a way to contact him (successfully), would you please ask him to check the KS messages? 550 backers would like to hear from him. |

| FYI: The surveys were sent out early this morning so perhaps this thread helped. No update or response on KS though, just the survey. Perhaps I'm spoiled with David Jarvis' level of effort for Kickstarters (Interface Zero 2.0 for the win!). |

| Another month passes with little to no communication from Gary McBride and company. They started another Kickstarter after this one finished in November 2012 and Gary posted regularly for that one. The constant delays and absolute lack of communication means that I will not be backing anymore projects from Fire Mountain Games. This sentiment is shared among the other backers according to the posts. It's a shame too because their product looked great. They just seem to have forgotten about it. |

Yes, because people just "forget" where they got that $12,000 from. |

| This is my first negative experience with Kickstarter. I guess it was supposed to happen sooner or later. |

As a backer of this project I have expressed my concern over a lack of meaningful updates or contact from Fire Mountain Games and Gary McBride. I just sent Mr. McBride a message, asking for some sort of update, no matter how small. I will let folks know what, if anything, comes of this request. _________________ Stephen J. Miller
