I have finally picked up all the books needed for playing Deadlands, but I think I have incompatible versions. I may just be being a muppet though, so can anyone confirm this for me? (The incompatible versions thing rather than the muppetry ).
I have the Saveage Worlds Deluxe explorers edition, which is a softback book a bit larger than an average paperback. I have the Deadlands marshals handbook in the same format - the back calls it the deadlands reloaded Marshal's handbook, but the front does not mention reloaded. I also have the players guide in hardback (normal rpg size) which again mentions reloaded on the back but not on the front.
THe issue I have is the Savage worlds book mentions the Guts skills as having been removed from the standard rules, but will be added as a setting rule where needed. The Deadlands books I have mention requiring Guts rolls, but don't mention the skill other than thta, and the players guide specifically says only that all standard savage worlds skills are available - no mention of Guts at all.
So is there any errata/conversion rules that cover this? Or have I missed something?
Deadlands still uses the Guts skill where mentioned, and any time you make a Fear check in place of the normal Spirit check _________________ Life: Past trends are not an indication of future performance
Yep, usually settings that stress horror; such as Cthulhu! I originally made a character to use that didn't have the guts skill because I though it wasn't used any longer and WOW does it make a difference if you don't have it. _________________ http://dieselpoweredgames.weebly.com/
