This book is one of the very few things I'm still missing in my Deadlands collection.
What is in it?
Is it worth getting?
Any info is welcome, especially if it provides a bit more info than this ... _________________ "If you think I'm crazy, you should see the people I'm locked up with." - Steamdriven

Aha.
That actually helped a bit. Thanks.
Well, I don't really play (for lack of opponents ), but I do own the First Edition (from the boxed set). And I'm looking into this because I'm currently looking to expand my mostly complete Deadlands collection, except that I only want to pick up stuff that I actually deem useful for my RPG sessions. Therefore, stuff like GRW Reinforcements! doesn't really draw my interest at the moment (but I might get back to it when I'm in a mood to make my collection 100% complete).
So this is basically a Troop Book with a few rules for Martial Artists and Lost Angels? Is there good fluff text in it? Maybe something about the Church of Lost Angels and its stance against the Rail Barons? _________________ "If you think I'm crazy, you should see the people I'm locked up with." - Steamdriven

Ok you get
4 pages of general GRW update fluff
5 pages Bayou Vermillion troops
7 page Black River troops
7 pages Dixie Rails troops
9 pages Iron Dragon troops (2 of which are Kung Fu)
7 pages Union Blue troops
7 pages Wasatch troops
1 page general low down on Lost Angels faction
6 pages of Lost Angels troops
8 pages of scenario
Two or so full page pictures
Each troop page generally contains 1 troop, about a quarter of this is a picture, plus the (relatively small) stat block - so you get a decent amount of text per troop.
It is very much a troop book though

Sounds good enough for me I guess.
Are the scenarios any good? Especially if I wanted to mine them for my regular Deadlands RPG game? _________________ "If you think I'm crazy, you should see the people I'm locked up with." - Steamdriven

The scenario is three parts and follows on from the "Many Tasks of Grimme" in Fist Full O' Ghost Rock, with one player playing the Lost Angels faction.

OK.
Many Tasks of Grimme is a nice little thing that can be run in the RPG. So I'm guessing the Dogs o' War stuff can be done so, too.
Thanks for the info, reemull. _________________ "If you think I'm crazy, you should see the people I'm locked up with." - Steamdriven

Maybe a dumb question, but does it include stat cards for the new troop types? _________________ Sailing to Byzantium

It includes the stat blocks for each unit, but not actual unit cards. You have to use the blank unit cards online or photocopy the ones in the GRW 2nd Edition rulebook and fill 'em in. _________________ Never play cards with a man called Doc |

Derailed aswell comes complete with 16 bedding of full-color bedding featuring affluence of troop cards, advancement cards, and counters to accomplish amalgam rigs into your amateur as simple as possible. So don’t just angle there. Hop abaft that caster and hit the road! _________________ jogos de meninas |

Hey Noshrok, Did you ever run this as a campaign?
I plan to run a Great Rail War Campaign and am looking for any help or suggestions you can offer. _________________ Proud co-creator of the 1,000+ Random Encounter Generator found here! |
