Last night I was searching for any old Ertl Cowtown buildings I could find online. Not much luck, but I did find a cowboy playset on clearance at JCPenney's. It includes a stagecoach, wagon, and farmhouse. I, for one, plan to make the wagon into a steamwagon--and may also pimp the coach.

I can't quite verify the scale, but from the photo of the kid, I suspect it's pretty close. Plus the price is right (although shipping and tax almost doubled the price for me ). If anyone's interested, I'll post feedback once I get it--but I don't know how long the clearance price will last.

The house is a little big for the minis scale. It's smaller than appropriate for the figures that come with it, but for reference, I'd estimate the windows are roughly twice the size of those in the Ertl Cow Town set.

I'll probably still use it, because it's pretty high-quality and looks cool.
