There is not a single setting that doesn't make a part of me buzz. That's not normal. _________________ "I had a whole bunch of advice for you but got ninja'd by newForumNewName. I'd just do what he says." -- 77IM

| Fading Suns is one of my favorite settings of all time, though I was never a fan of the system. Savage Fading Suns is fantastic news! |

Now I SWORE I would never buy Earthdawn again. I loved so much about it, but the system bogged me down and I never really got to play it with anybody.
Looks like I'll be an oathbreaker again. |

| Never got a chance to play any of those properties in the past, though I perused them. I'm interested to say the least. |

Gotta admit, the purist in me chafes a bit at the idea. OTOH, it would give me a reason to unbox all those 1st ed books in the attic.

| I really got into Earthdawn (back when it was just a FASA property) and I heard tons about Fading Suns from a colleague, who raved about the setting. So those two, along with others going to SW:DE are truly items to celebrate. Now to patiently wait...and wait...and.....hope they come out soon. |

That game is going to be a lot of fun in its own way. But we have no plans to "Savage" Equinox at this stage.
Kind regards,
James Sutton

Great news.
I've been doing my own Savage Earthdawn for a while now, and the old system is a bit creaky now bless it. My players are still itchy to play Earthdawn but running an old school game is too time intensive - a Savage version however is a thing of beauty.
I'm also interested in Fading Suns, having never tried it...
All in all, fantastic announcement. Can I give you crazy guys some cash yet?

Hiya,

Um, no. RedBrick publishes their books through Mongoose Publishing's Flaming Cobra imprint. But RedBrick is the license holder for Fading Suns. A better example, Mongoose prints and distributes RedBrick's Earthdawn books, but RedBrick is the license holder (and we do all the content, layout, etc.).
The confusion with Fading Suns may be from Mongoose producing A Call To Arms: Noble Armada, which is a space battle miniatures game. Noble Armada is set in the Fading Suns milieu (but isn't an rpg).
Hope this helps!
Kind regards,
James Sutton

+1 for Savage Fading Suns, please!
Also include a Plot Point campaign for Fading Suns! That would be off the chain! _________________ "Games give you a chance to excel, and if you're playing in good company you don't even mind if you lose because you had the enjoyment of the company during the course of the game. "
