We haven't in my my group YET. Primarily we are waiting for someone to put out a Showdown game with pre-built troops. The only one I'm aware of right now is the G-men and Gangsters from Triple ace games, but it hasn't tickled our fancy.
We are waiting on Art of War which I swear has been in development hell for a while. _________________ Aperture Science:

Yup. I do. SW began its life as a wargame (The Great Rail Wars), so it works perfectly. That's what the Showdown rules are for: http://www.peginc.com/shop/savage-worlds-showdown/ _________________ I'm not an adversarial GM. I am a facilitator of awesomeness. - Dr Rotwang |

We've played many games of Showdown and it works great as a wargame. However, it really depends on what wargames you have played and how you would compare it to them. There are not endless charts or lots of complicated rules with Showdown.
What genre are you going to use it for? And what wargames have you played? _________________ Norm "No Relation" Hensley |

Actually I am working on a fan conversion and was thinking about including some wargaming units in it.

My first campaign of SW was a fantasy where the PCs were officers in the army. They had company of 30 spearman, 30 archers, and 5 wizards.
Combat was fun and went pretty fast. |
