howdy folks! we have a group who played deadlands alot and alot more with reloaded. we recently started on HoE:R and love it too but want another person to take the lead on a totally different world so the current gm can get a break and play and also mix it up with styles from time to time.
We are wanting to start up another game that uses the savage worlds rules but has a Fantasy setting to it like D&D forgotten realms or dragonlance.
i looked at the books and pdfs but couldn't get a clear description of the settings to make a decision. so if y'all had ideas or run one yourself id like to hear bout em! |

Beasts and Barbarians is a great setting for the Swords and Sorcery type game. Very much along the lines of Conan, with a rich and detailed world. This would be my recommendation, but I prefer this type of setting over Forgotten Realms.
For a bit more high fantasy where magic is more prevalent there is Hellfrost. Another good world with a lot of background. Or you could take a look at the free beta of Shaintir, which you can get from DriveThru or Reality Blurs. |

ty, ill give those a look. and they don't have to be just like those i was just tossing em out there for a ref. mostly just the old style of swards and magic knights and stuff. i was really hopin to get one that rins really good with the savage worlds rules tho.
Edit: After looking into a few i think I'm def gonna try out Hellfrost seems like what we are looking for! TY Ryche! |

Np. Had a good time running a campaign in HF and Triple Ace's forums are good for game questions. Its a good setting that can easily have the fantasy of a traditional D&D setting if that is what your group is looking for. |

With Shaintar's new Beta set out, you might want to re-look at that one as well.
Iron Dynasty is you "Oriental Adventures" with a tad bit of steam thrown in.
There's always adapting the Supers Companion for work with Fantasy.
Then, for somethign truly out there, look at Suzerain meta Setting with the Caladon Falls Book for it. _________________ Aperture Science:

Evernight is also a possibility. It starts out generic fantasy until you hit the abrupt right turn - Alien Invasion. then it's a little like falling skies in a Fantasy Setting...
Just throwing it out there... the other choices are also great... _________________ There is no problem in this Universe that can't be solved with the application of roasted porcine flesh...

Definitely going to have to throw Caladon Falls some props! Love the game and the setting makes the GMs job real easy. Savage Suzerain makes their settings/plot points complete so a novice GM should have a fairly easy time of it.
This is true all the Savage Suzerain settings I have bought. Shanghai Vampocalypse! _________________ http://www.armsonline.org/
