Someone sent me a link for a YouTube video called "Roll a D6" that's a d20 flavored song about gaming.
I wanted one that was more Savage Worlds flavored, so I wrote one. Sung to the tune of Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side"...
We played Savage Worlds the other day
The entire group came over just to play
The first to go was my friend named Ray
He'd drawn a king, but they got the “J”
The GM says “Hey, Ray, Make a Roll with a Wild Die”
He said “Hey, Ray, Make a Roll with a Wild Die”
The next game we were out on an island
Sharks circling ‘round us like we were on the menu
The GM said “Don’t lose your head
If you do you might end up dead”
He says “Your turn, Make a Roll with a Wild Die”
He said “It’s your turn, Make a Roll with a Wild Die”
Next we tried Deadlands Noir on Saturday
New Orleans is a different kind of LA
We killed a guy the other day
We just found out he didn’t stay that way
He moans “You're dead, Make a Roll with a Wild Die”
He said “Rise again, Make a Roll with a Wild Die”
And the zombies go ooh, ooh ooh, ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh, ooh ooh
Next we tried to survive Solomon Kane
Dark pulp by Conan’s author caused us pain
Who knew that this little old man
Could summon demons when he got mad?
It’s time again, to Make a Roll with a Wild Die
To risk your neck, on a Roll with a Wild Die, Alright
Next we tried swords and sorcery
Thinking familiar ground would set us free
When the dragon got the “J”
We are talking TPK
Unless we can save our butts, and Make a Roll with a Wild Die
You can always win, on a Roll with a Wild Die!
And the zombies go ooh, ooh ooh, ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh, ooh ooh |

| I actually play the bass... a 5-string Fender Jazz, to be precise. |

That's awesome! Hate that I missed it before.*
*Sidenote: I have noticed in my years on the forums that threads started on Fridays have the highest chance of being missed or lost in the shuffle. The exact time doesn't seem to matter as much as the day. Theories abound as to the reason why. Me? I blame the pudding pops. _________________ Clint Black

| I'd probably enjoy it if I actually knew the song in question. Someone should just make a youtube vid already so I can bask in its true form. |

That's some impressive lyricism there. Hearing it actually be sung would be pretty cool. _________________ My blog: http://ninjasridingdinosaurs.wordpress.com/ - Now with occassional updates! |
