the closest thing to a dark elf would have had to be the young Galadriel, she did not leave Valinor to go fight the good fight against Morgoth and get the jewels. She wanted to rule and dominate the lesser elves back in middle earth who as you said did not witnessed the glory of the Two Trees in Valinor or recived the knowledge they had been given.
