Hi.. Just discovered SW actually through Low Life.. I had just recently purchased the SW Explorer Edition as it was the latest (Newest) one.. It’s on the way to me in the mail.
In reading some on the other forums it looks like Low Life and even Several other SW published settings uses the original SW Core rules.. But in reading more, people say the changes in SW Explorer Edition are minor and easy to modify for such settings as Low Life..
I just want to find out from the source(You guys) if this is correct? And what areas changed that I will need to be aware of when trying to use the SW Explorer Edition with Low Life? (Or any other settings that used the older SW core rule set)

Likely the only thing that would be different for Low Life is melee damage. Low Life will list it as Str+1, Str+2, Str+3, etc. Simply change that to Str+d4, Str+d6, Str+d8, and you should be set. _________________ Clint Black

That's definitely a selling point for folks tired of edition wars.
I have a lean hardback copy of SW from 2005. The game has changed very little since then. The successive editions have usually just been corrected for errata and changed how Incapacitation works. Even the update from Explorer's Edition changed hardly a thing. The differences are mostly additions to the rules instead of changing how stuff works. _________________ 'But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
