Exciting news!
Triple Ace Games has just started a Kickstarter for Land of Fire. We're offering some great pledge rewards for both existing fans and those thinking of buying into the setting. Remember, without your support this project won't get funded!
Kickstarter link
The Secrets of the Sands Revealed!
Welcome, oh noble stranger, to a land of flying carpets, bound jinn, glittering palaces, scheming wizirs, regal sphinxes, and trap-laden tombs bloated with fabulous treasure!
Freed from enslavement under the jinn five centuries ago by Suleiman the Great, the races of Al-Shirkuh, the Land of Fire, have prospered. Here, amid the endless sands and crumbling ruins of long-forgotten empires, stand glittering cities and verdant oases.
But Al-Shirkuh is changing. The temperature grows colder, the rains fall less often, and the desert is encroaching on the fertile lands. The jinn, once defeated, are gathering their strength; fire giants are raiding with impunity; the naga have returned to reclaim their homeland; and the withered undead of Hekata stir in their majestic pyramids.
Welcome indeed to Land of Fire, the first major geographic expansion to Hellfrost setting.
Inside this volume you will find:
* Five player character races.
* Rules for creating native characters.
* Details on the Devoted and Faithful, the twin creeds of the desert folk.
* Descriptions and rules of the 12 major gods and six magical traditions of Al-Shirkuh.
* New setting rules for surviving the burning sands.
* A detailed gazetteer exploring the major realms, cities, and sites.
* A bestiary stocked full of desert-dwelling creatures.
* A full-color map of the great desert.
To use this book, the Game Master requires the Hellfrost Player’s Guide and Hellfrost Bestiary. A player needs only the Hellfrost Player’s Guide. _________________ Wiggy

Now Pinnacle just need to splash it all over their front page to get the land of fire burning. |

Pinnacle update their front page earlier in the week, and until Kickstarter approved it we couldn't announce it. Just bad timing. I've sent Joel something for next week, though. _________________ Wiggy

Are you worried about the Timing?
Money's not going to be collected until early December. To get a print copy of the book your looking at around $100. This'll be coming at a time that many people are looking to spend on Christmas Presents. And its for a product that they won't see until June. _________________ Aperture Science:

Not worried about the timing. If we did that, there'd always be something cropping up.
And you can get the book (plus other bits) for around $50 (£38 pledge), which isn't far off the expected RRP. Or you can pledge £1 and pick up the book as a separate add-on if you don't want anything else. _________________ Wiggy

Hi everyone
My 1st post here.
Hellfrost is my favourite SW & Fantasy setting by a country mile. Love it!
That cover looks mint. Nice nod toward Moorish tessellations, like it. |

To me, it makes sense. Our own world isn't monolitic. We had vikings and middle eastern, so why should a fantasy world be any different?
I personally would have liked to see LOF be a stand-alone product under the Hellfrost Banner. That way you could pick it up, by itself and run with it. But the flip side of that coin is that by doing that, people who had Hellfrost:Rassilon would be paying money to get alot of the same material they already have. _________________ Aperture Science:

Because it expands the Hellfrost world and allows bigger stories and crossover, rather than shoving an existing continent to one side. _________________ Wiggy

Damned if we do and damned if we don't, sadly.
Travellers from the north are found in the desert, and their gods and organizations are mentioned. The arrival of the Hellfrost is having global consquences. If we'd have wanted a single book, we'd have had to include around 70% of the Hellfrost PG material again, and around 30% of the Bestiary. All told, the book would have been around 100 pages larger and it would be far too costly for us to produce, even with Kickstarter. _________________ Wiggy

He's brilliant to work with. We give him a minimal art brief, and he manages to capture what we want perfectly. _________________ Wiggy

The Jade Empire is mentioned. It's not known by any other name in the books, but I've mentioned before on the TAG forums it's the Land of Water. _________________ Wiggy
