For all those active GAMA (Game Manufacturers Association) game creators, publishers, and industry experts among us, voting for the organization’s Publisher Board representative position remains open as our own Jodi Black (Lead Editor) is still in the running having tied with another candidate during the election’s initial round.

As a reminder, here is the original info Jodi shared at the start of the whole process:

“I currently serve as President of GAMA Publisher member Carolina Game Tables (celebrating our tenth year!) and Lead Editor for GAMA Publisher member Pinnacle Entertainment Group, best known for the Origins Award-winning tabletop RPGs Savage Worlds and Deadlands.

“I was employed as Chief Operations Officer for Pinnacle 2014-2024, managing with our team all aspects of tabletop publishing from book and board game design to editing, layout to printing, customer service to marketing, and crowdfunding to fulfillment. I also currently assist new creators as a consultant for crowdfunding and editing. There’s always more to learn.

“Prior to the game industry I worked as a nonprofit consultant, raising millions for charities which I’ve continued in a volunteer role. I’m uniquely positioned to serve GAMA with my expertise in both our game industry and nonprofit leadership.

“I’m known as “The Crit Fail Queen” for my love of how a twist of fate leads to better storytelling. I get failed dice photos about once a week, either tagged on socials or texted, emailed, or messaged directly to me—and I love them!

“The message I hope to convey during these chaotic times, in my tenure on the GAMA Board of Directors, is to recognize the inner strength games and the game industry community give us in times of adversity. We can rise above it all, together.

“A Crit Fail is not the end of anyone’s story.”
