Holler for Savage Worlds & Hurricane Helene Relief

A little over three weeks ago, Hurricane Helene, a monstrous tropical cyclone, devastated several areas within the Appalachian Region of the United States including Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia as well as sections of Florida.

Our official Savage Worlds setting, Holler, details a fantastical realm inspired by this very region, but populated by twisted cryptids, diabolical demons, and horrific haints. (Please note that Pinnacle’s usual online convention, “Hollerween,” is taking a little hiatus this year.) Holler also offers opportunities for heroes to rise, assist the innocent, and save the day.

In the real world, countless, selfless organizations are currently working in the aforementioned areas to offer aid to those impacted by Helene including Mercy Chefs. Mercy Chefs is a non-profit disaster and humanitarian relief organization that provides professionally prepared, restaurant-quality meals to victims, volunteers, and first responders in natural disasters and emergencies.

From Savage Worlds fan, Eric Teall:

“Honestly, Holler wasn’t on my radar at all.

“Then Helene happened. I have lots of family in Asheville. Pinnacle is donating the PDF proceeds to Helene relief … It became a very easy decision to buy.

“This book is beautiful. Great art, lots of monsters, lots of setting details, several short adventures included. I’m glad to have supported Helene relief, but I’m also glad to have this book and all its options for my campaigns.

“I hate to sound like an advertisement, but it’s a great product and a great cause.”

Through the month of October, ALL proceeds from the sale of the Holler digital core book (through both our store and DriveThruRPG) will go DIRECTLY to Mercy Chefs to support their amazing efforts.

The PDF is just $24.99 USD, so please consider adding a copy to your digital game library today to help those in need.

Additionally, Tim Earley, the creative genius behind Holler and a native of western North Carolina, is preparing himself for a six-hour endurance run to benefit the residents of Old Fort, NC who lost homes and businesses in the flooding:

“Old Fort is a small mountain town, and while donations/supplies/infrastructure support are flowing into Asheville, I worry about some of the smaller places getting enough attention. My creative life, family life, intellectual life, spiritual life, and athletic life are all bound up tight in this place, and we’re hurting, and I’m hurting, and I just need to keep doing things to help.”

While the Old Fort Strong Endurance Festival will take place on December 7th and 8th, Tim is currently looking for sponsors with all donations going directly to helping those in need.

Thank you all for your incredible generosity!
