Holler for Savage Worlds & Hurricane Helene Relief
Last week, Hurricane Helene, a monstrous tropical cyclone, devastated several areas within the Appalachian Region of the United States including Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia as well as sections of Florida.
Our official Savage Worlds setting, Holler, details a fantastical realm inspired by this very region, but populated by twisted cryptids, diabolical demons, and horrific haints. It also offers opportunities for heroes to rise, assist the innocent, and save the day.
In the real world, countless, selfless organizations are currently working in the aforementioned areas to offer aid to those impacted by Helene including Mercy Chefs. Mercy Chefs is a non-profit disaster and humanitarian relief organization that provides professionally prepared, restaurant-quality meals to victims, volunteers, and first responders in natural disasters and emergencies.
From Pinnacle COO, Jodi Black:
“I first heard of Mercy Chefs from my aunt in New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina, making hot meals–*good* hot meals–and clean water for the poorest and hardest hit areas almost immediately, and continuing for months to feed locals and volunteers arriving for cleanup.
“Now they’re on the ground in our beloved Asheville, where Savage Worlds author and Holler creator Tim Earley lives … Thanks to their network of airplane volunteers, they were on the ground four days after the hurricane passed.”
Through the month of October, ALL proceeds from the sale of the Holler digital core book (through both our store and DriveThruRPG) will go DIRECTLY to Mercy Chefs to support their amazing efforts.
The PDF is just $24.99 USD, so please consider adding a copy to your digital game library today to help those in need.
