In Memoriam: Jeannine Acevedo

Published On: March 14, 2023Categories: News

This past Sunday our great friend and former colleague, Jeannine Acevedo lost her 15-month, hard-fought battle with brain cancer.

To honor her memory, Jeannine’s husband Aaron is inviting people to wear purple this Saturday and/or paint their nails red like her family is doing for her service.

In the early days of Jeannine’s diagnosis, a gofundme was established to help the Acevedos with a variety of expenses. That gofundme remains open and you are all welcome to donate, comment, and share stories there.

Our own Jodi Black took to Facebook and posted the following in Jeannine’s memory:

“Jeannine Acevedo was the first person Shane Hensley and I added to the everyday workings of the Pinnacle team. To say I spoke with her every day is about right–we’d get into Google Hangouts to work together and inevitably swap stories about gaming, our husbands (sorry Clint Black and Aaron Acevedo!), our pets… our lives.

“Her love language was service. And she showed it as often as she could.

“Our memories are consolation in grief. Someday they’ll be happy memories, time lessening the stain of grief upon them. Hold onto your memories of Jeannine, y’all. She made such a great impact on this world.”
