This week we’ve got some exciting news from a couple of our Savage Worlds licensees including a Kickstarter and a brand new creature profile!

First up, the Kickstarter campaign for Starbreaker: Star Marines from Ace licensee Star Anvil Studios wraps up this week, so if you haven’t jumped on this one yet, this is your last chance!

In the gritty science fiction setting Starbreaker, the galaxy has been shattered by war and civilization is in the process of rebuilding. At the heart of this civilization is the Star System Alliance and its first line of defense: the Star Marines Corps.

Second, Ace licensee, Aegis Studios has acquired a license from Onyx Path Publishing to release Scarred Lands material for Savage Worlds and right now you can get your gauntlets on a new Creature Profile of the centaur-like Proud!

The proud are a race of centaur-like creatures with the upper body of a manticora — lionlike humanoids indigenous to the norther regions of Ghelspad — and the torso of a lion. Their faces are generally feline, with males sporting manes and women having slightly larger eyes. Not much is known about proud life expectancy or their complex tribal interactions since few proud are willing to explain such things to outsiders, especially not to those whose loyalty lies with the divine.

The lion-like lower half of the proud stands between four and five feet high at the shoulder, with the manticora-like torso adding an additional four feet or so of height. Proud weigh well over 500 lbs.
