With the Ancestry Builder in the SWADE Core Rules Module for Foundry VTT, creating Ancestries and balancing points is a breeze. The intuitive application allows you to effortlessly drag and drop positive and negative Ancestry Abilities, configure them, and track points. The result? A new Ancestry item, ready for players to use.

We’ve made sure that the Ancestry Builder is not just a standalone tool. We’ve updated the Fantasy Companion and Rifts® Tomorrow Legion player guide to seamlessly support ancestry abilities from those products too.

As you can imagine, building things is crucial to our upcoming projects: Super Powers Companion and Science Fiction Companion. How to Use Ancestry Builder Application

  1. Update to SWADE Core Rules v12.0.0+: Go to Items Directory in Foundry VTT sidebar and select “Build Ancestry”
  2. Setup Ancestry: Give a name, select an image, and set build points value
  3. Search and Filter: Search for Positive and Negative Ancestry Abilities. Use filter to add/remove abilities from other products.
  4. Drag and Drop Features: Drag from the sidebar into “Added Items” area.
  5. Added Items: The item is added to the Ancestry and Build points calculated.
  6. Save Ancestry: This is greyed out until build points balance. On Save the application creates an new ancestry item with all abilities configured.
