Pinnacle Entertainment Group at the Origins Game Fair

The sun has officially set on another amazing Origins Game Fair and our own Jodi Black (Chief Operations Officer and Managing Editor for Pinnacle Entertainment Group) and Clint Black (Savage Worlds Core Rules Brand Manager) were there meeting with Savage Worlds fans, playing games, and representing both Pinnacle AND their own company, Carolina Game Tables.

Here’s a report (and a few photos) from Jodi:

Clint and I loved seeing Savage Worlds players from all around the globe telling us about their home campaigns and the fun they’re having. We met John Collins, who told us how excited he is for the latest addition to the Lankhmar line, Savage Seas of Nehwon. And Anne Reynolds, who is a long-running Deadlands Marshal for her group. She has some fantastic ideas about entering the game development community in the future. We also endured some good-natured ribbing about the next edition of Savage Worlds and talked briefly about some of the design options we’re considering in development right now. Most are little tweaks which may feel big but really should refine game play.

Origins is a fantastic place to come together with other game designers, hang out on the Big Bar on Two, play some demos, and get the creative juices flowing for what’s coming for Savage Worlds. The fine folks at Amorphous Blob do a great job of organizing Savage Worlds GMs (find them on Facebook if you’re considering attending next year!) and Studio 2 Publishing carries the Pinnacle products in the Exhibit Hall. All of this meant Clint and I were free to spend time in our Carolina Game Tables booth. We’re thankful both businesses–PEG and CGT–are supported by the gaming community… the finest folks in the world.

We hope to see you all in Columbus, Ohio June 12-16 for Origins 2019, “where gaming begins!”
