Savage Worlds, Doomtown, & So Much More at Gen Con 2024
Gen Con 2024 is NEXT WEEK (gasp!), and if you’re planning on attending, keep your eyes out for a number of familiar PEG and Pine Box personnel, participate in several Savage Worlds events (including dozens of staff-run demos of the upcoming Deadlands: Dark Ages), sit in on our “don’t miss” What’s Up with Pinnacle panel, and spend your hard-earned cash at the booths of some notable exhibitors including Studio 2 Publishing.
First up, be on the lookout for PEG luminaries including Jodi Black, Clint Black, Simon Lucas, Chris Landauer, Darrell Hayhurst, Brian Reeves, Scott Woodard, Donald Schepis, J-M DeFoggi, Chris Valentine, and Mike Barbeau. Find them running demos, hosting the aforementioned panel, or just enjoying the festivities along with the rest of ya’!
As for those Deadlands: Dark Ages demos, there are almost 30 of these one-hour “Test Drive” events on the schedule (many of which are already “Sold Out“), all run by notable members of our team. Find all these in Room 307 at the JW Marriott, along with open demos at the Syrinscape area located in the Capitol Concourse on the way to the stadium.
Saturday evening at 5pm, join us for the free What’s Up with Pinnacle panel in Room 203 at the JW Marriott where you’ll get the inside scoop about what’s coming next for Pinnacle Entertainment Group! The PEG crew will also be on-hand to answer your burning questions about all things Savage Worlds.
Grab a photo with Red and Gabe at the JW Marriott as well as down in the Studio 2 Publishing area (1929, 2029) where you’ll find shelves upon shelves of all your favorite Savage Worlds books and accessories.
No matter if you’re a long-time fan of the Doomtown expandable card game from Pine Box Entertainment or a tenderfoot looking to give it whirl, head over to Hall C to meet the demo team and settle in for a game! Pine Box Entertainment is also debuting new starter decks, a con-exclusive Bass Reeves playmat, and Deadlands: Dark Ages themed promo cards. Special events include I Do My Shootin’ Before Breakfast multiplayer, Old Timer throwback, and the annual Marshal round-up where players decide the fate of Wild Bill Hickok and will be treated to spoilers of the next expansion, Whispers of War. Pick up the Weird West Edition and the latest release, Debt of Blood, at Studio 2 Publishing.
Finally, for those unable to make the trip out to Indy (the “GenCanters” of the world), on Friday, August 2nd at 7pm Eastern, click over to Gen Con TV on Twitch for an actual play livestream of the ENNIE Award nominated Pinebox Middle School Roleplaying Game GMed by the one-and-only “Candace the Magnificent!”
