Summertime Savage Worlds Media Roundup
As those of us here in the Northern Hemisphere crawl through these scorching dog days of summer, what better way to beat the heat than staying indoors and catching up on a few Savage Worlds Actual Plays, podcasts, and other media content!
First up, ride along with Jodi Black (COO for Pinnacle Entertainment Group) as a Wichita Witch, Sean Owen Roberson (Line Editor for Rifts® for Savage Worlds) as a steel-eyed Gunslinger, Shannon Steele (Resting Glitch Face) as a quirky Muckraker, and Allen Blount (Unreality Corps) in the role of an honorable Chi Master, as they race across the country to reach California’s Great Maze at the hands of Marshal Chris Hussey! Both part one and part two of The Whistle’s Call for Deadlands: the Weird West are available over in our ever-expanding Pinnacle Entertainment Group YouTube Video Archive.
If you enjoyed our wild Flash Gordon Roleplaying Game Actual Play a few weeks back, you may notice a couple familiar faces in the Dungeons of Discordia campaign for Pathfinder® for Savage Worlds. Watch as Game Master and frequent Pinnacle contributor, Cheyenne Wright (who also pulled the strings in our Flash Gordon session) and Taylor van Biljon join fellow Dice Tyrants Anthony Carlson and James Kurtzweil on an epic 12-episode journey, available now in the Dice Tyrants channel on Twitch.
A couple more notable (and ongoing) Savage Worlds Actual Plays (though these are more for the 18+ crowd) include the League of Raconteur Explorers and their ongoing Deadlands: Blood Drive campaign as well as Knights of the Smith Dinner Table’s Giantslayer campaign using the Pathfinder® for Savage Worlds ruleset. Catch up on the first 10 episodes of their Legend of Ramblehouse Saints campaign here!
And last, but certainly not least, the Savage Interludes podcast, with hosts Ron Blessing, Veronica Blessing, and Tracy Sizemore (aka “The Trynamic Trio”), continues to churn out superb Savage Worlds content in bite-size chunks! In last week’s episode (episode 87), they tackled collective world building, while other recent episodes have discussed using “Classes” in Savage Worlds, designing three-dimensional NPCs, and top 10 tips for new Game Masters! Check out the vast archive of Savage Interludes episodes at their site.
There’s plenty more Savage Worlds media content online as well, so keep your eyes and ears open and watch this space for additional updates!
