Dawn of the Daikaiju, an original creation for Savage Worlds by authors Sean Tait Bircher and Robin English-Bircher (Rifts® for Savage Worlds), releases next week! A free Daikaiju Archetypes PDF (with ginormous Figure Flats!) will also release for use with Dawn of the Daikaiju.

In Dawn of the Daikaiju, players take on the roles of giant monsters called kaiju or daikaiju (the terms are used interchangeably and both mean “giant monster”). The Earth is under attack and it’s up to her gargantuan defenders to save her!

Dawn of the Daikaiju contains a Plot Point Campaign, Adventure Generator, specially adapted race creation rules, and new Edges and Hindrances—and it’s all in Kaiju scale!

Each Plot Point features a script for read-aloud fun at the table (whether virtual or IRL). Here’s a snippet:

NARRATOR: The massive, 500-foot-tall monster bashes into the force field again and again. Radiation sparks from his form and electricity answers from the powerful force field. Suddenly, the enormous reptile stops. He looks toward the sea—toward Tokyo—and emits one final wail of anger.

RYUJIN: KREEEEEEEE-ONK!!!

NARRATOR: The Monarch of Monsters dives back into the sea and disappears, but the monsters inside the sanctuary only become more agitated. Now they begin to beat against the field themselves, beating it with their fists, hurling their massive bodies into it, or blasting it with fiery plasma.

TANAKA (whispers to herself): There are too many. The field will not hold. But what has caused this event? What did Ryujin tell them…

Get ready to crush, crumble, and chomp your way through Dawn of the Daikaiju for Savage Worlds! “KREEEEEEEE-ONK!!!”
